 According to Catholic teaching Peter was the head of the church ?

Catholic teaching the visible head of the church was peter and his succesor was the Holy Father the Pope ,the Bishop of Rome.

There is no Biblical basis that Peter or his succesor the pope in Rome was the visible head of the church:
