How the Roman Catholic observe the Easter:
How the Roman Catholic observe the Easter:
The word "Easter " The English term is derived from the Saxon spring festival Ēostre; pagan Anglo-Saxons had held feasts in Ēostre's honour, to a pagan deity name "Ēostre "
Catholics observe it through the procession of statues of the dead Jesus:
as if they were mourning a corpse that they will bury they called it "Pahalik"
Matthew 8:22, NIV:
" But Jesus told him, 'Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead. '
-----
They are like a sheep whose shepherd is death:
Psalms 49:14
" Like sheep they are destined for Sheol. Death will be their shepherd. The upright will rule them in the morning, and their form will decay in Sheol, far from their lofty abode."
Statues Procession : They carried the Statues because they cannot walk:
Jeremiah 10:4-5
' They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk.Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good."
They do penance and mutilate their own bodies because of the dead statue they revere:
Leviticus 19:28
" Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD."
------
Those who made on them and trust will be like them.
Psalms 115:4 -8
" But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell. They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them."
-------
And trusting in them will rest in the Assembly of the dead
Proverbs 21:16
" A man who wanders from the way of understanding Will rest in the assembly of the dead"
